Celebrating Cowgirls!
Come join us for the Cowgirl Gathering in Nampa, ID to celebrate cowgirls! Stay the weekend at Dunn Rite Ranch and take a break from your busy life. This year, our focus will be Cowgirl Confidence with Janet Phinney of Inspired Horsemanship. Developing a better relationship with your horse is Janet’s passion and she believes that is the key to gaining confidence in riding. Riders and Non-riders will enjoy the fellowship of other cowgirls and learn more about being confident riders.
Inspired by the Ranch Women of West Texas, who included me in their Cowgirl Gatherings while I was there, I set out to have an Idaho Cowgirl Gathering. Gatherings in West Texas celebrate the Cowboy Way of Life, and the Cowgirl Gatherings give the Ranch wives a time to fellowship with other women, who share their lifestyles. It was a time to reflect, laugh, and relax.
“Re-building Confidence” As an older rider, I tend to let fear get the best of me… blame it on hormones, a bad fall, or hearing about someone else getting hurt. Sometimes, learning more about our tack, or safety can help us to become more confident. Sharing our experiences and encouraging one another as we learn new ways to overcome our fears is the goal of this Cowgirl Gathering!

Joyce and Don Dunn are the owners and creators of Dunn Rite Ranch. Adopted out of Texas and transplanted to California, Joyce always wanted to have horses, but her parents refused. As an adult, she has worked to make her lifelong dream a reality and to share her love of horses with others.
Janet Phinney

Janet and her husband Robert created Inspired Horsemanship. Together they began creating new opportunities through building a successful horsemanship business together. In 2006, they began teaching part-time together in the northwest. They both continued to expand on Robert’s dream to create an experiential facility at thier home.
Since 2010, they have been teaching full time, building better horse-human partnerships.
Janet will be leading our evening discussions as well as teaching our group riding lessons. Private lessons are available and can be arranged for the afternoons.

Carter is an amazing cook and looks forward to serving us! He is also a massage therapist and is willing to do chair massages during the day!

Doc Steph is the owner of Desert Sage Equine Veterinary Services. She practices Equine Veterinary Care, Acupuncture & Spinal Manipulation in Southwest Idaho.
She will be hanging with us the whole weekend sharing her wisdom and experience about keeping our horses healthy!

Join the Gathering Riders $400.00 (limit 6 riders)

- Three 2 hour group sessions with Janet Phinney
- Two optional open ride times (Janet will be available for questions)
- Board for your horse in a 20 x 30 covered stall Grass or Alfalfa Hay is available or bring your own. Please clean your own stall.
